The creator, David Perrin, is passionate about niche and travel perfumes. A perfume collector, he also has a background in this world.
He worked in the manufacturing of perfumes and their packaging for other niche brands. He thus acquired a strong sensitivity to the quality of products, materials both in terms of the fragrance and the design of bottles and packaging.
From his travels, he developed a thirst for discovery of nature and the history of civilizations.
The birth of Nectar Olfactif was obvious. The history of bees fascinates David Perrin. Their organization, the distribution of tasks within the hive are a source of inspiration. The foragers bring the nectar back to the hives, like the raw materials in an olfactory composition.
Nectar Olfactif acquires the best raw materials to make great fragrances. The fragrances are Perfume Extracts whose promise is exceptional olfactory hold and persistence.
David wanted to work with the perfumers of Maison Robertet, whose values he feels close to and where natural raw materials are their reason for being.
Indeed, for over 200 years, Robertet has been the source of natural ingredients for the perfume industry, with expertise ranging from the origin, namely the seed, leaves and flowers, to industrial know-how that is constantly being reinvented: extraction, hydro-distillation, purification, molecular distillation, CO2 extraction, co-distillation, etc.
David worked on the creation with Perfumers Sidonie Lancesseur and Serge de Oliveira from Robertet.
The choice of raw materials was very demanding, in search of natural scents inspired by his travels.
Once the fragrances have been created, using concentrates from Maison Robertet, and drawing on his experience, David manufactures the perfume extracts in the family and artisanal business from the maceration, icing and filtration phases before moving on to packaging.
