The BOA MADRE fragrance is a tribute to René Gruau, pseudonym of Renato Zavagli Ricciardelli delle Caminate, famous Italian illustrator.
Gruau took part in the revolution that began in 1947 with the New Look: the lines of feminine codes were rewritten. He joins his friends Dior, Givenchy, Balmain, and for them he creates shapes and creates advertisements, with women covered in ostrich feathers.
Gruau will say: "The line is the basis of all the arts: a single line can express greatness, nobility, sensuality, it is the synthesis of all sensations, the concentration of all knowledge."
The lines of the BOA MADRE bottle are women's hips, they are ostrich eggs. The egg is the representation of the primordial seed from which everything began, its iconographic use is in all cultures.
I added some fauna to the flora of Musa Paradisiaca: boa is snake, or has ostrich feathers, while Mother Earth is the origin of life.
